Soccer:Robbie Keane will travel to the Faroe Islands with the Republic of Ireland squad after coming through a training session at Gannon Park in Malahide this morning.
The FAI confirmed that the LA Galaxy striker and regular captain of the side will travel with the squad after missing the 6-1 humiliation at the hands of Germany at the Aviva Stadium on Friday night because of an Achilles injury.
Andy Keogh, who scored Ireland’s late consolation goal on Friday, will miss the trip after suffering a knock to the head in training on Saturday afternoon.
The Millwall player was observed overnight by the FAI medical team and was ruled unfit to travel due to mild concussion.
