FA Cup round-up: Robbie Keane made a goalscoring return to the Tottenham line-up to help his side earn a 4-0 win in their FA Cup replay against Cardiff.

Keane, skipper in Ledley King's absence, was in an offside position in the 27th minute but allowed the ball to run through for Aaron Lennon to open the scoring.

He then doubled the lead on the half-hour mark with a simple finish from Dimitar Berbatov's cross to put Spurs in the driving seat  before Steed Malbranque's strike put Spurs in complete control. Jermain Defoe, on as a substitute, wrapped up the win 10 minutes from time

At St James's Park, Newcastle suffered a humiliating Cup exit at the hands of Birmingham, going out 5-1 to the Championship side.

Gary McSheffrey's fifth-minute strike and a Nolberto Solano own goal put the visitors in the driving seat by half-time.

James Milner dragged the Magpies back into it with a 56th-minute strike, but after Steven Taylor was dismissed, Bruno N'Gotty, Sebastian Larsson and DJ Campbell all helped themselves with the Magpies in complete disarray.

Elsewhere, Vincenzo Montella inspired a dramatic comeback as Fulham sealed a place in the next round with a last-gasp 4-3 win over Leicester.

The Italian came off the bench at half-time and scored twice as Fulham hit back from 3-1 down. The crowning glory was reserved for Wayne Routledge who tricked his way into space and secured the victory deep into injury-time.

Leicester had taken the lead through Matt Fryatt after 13 minutes and then surged ahead again after Brian McBride's equaliser with strikes from Gareth McAuley and James Wesolowski. Fulham, who had drawn their previous six games, now host Stoke in the fourth round.
