Richard Dunne continues to be linked with a move away from Manchester City this summer, with former manager Kevin Keegan seemingly heading the queue of potential suitors.
The Republic of Ireland central defender only has another year left on his contract and after failing to persuade Dunne to sing a new deal City may be willing to sell rather than risk the 28-year-old moving on a free transfer next year.
City captain Dunne - who has enjoyed another outstanding campaign at the heart of his side's defence - has not agreed a new deal with the Eastlands club despite months of talks with his advisers.
And Newcastle boss Keegan is understood to be preparing a £5 million (€6.3 million) bid for the Irish international.
