Deadline Day news: While one Republic of Ireland striker was on the way out of Molineux this morning, with Andy Keogh agreeing to join Millwall from Wolves for an undisclosed fee, the prospect of Kevin Doyle also leaving appear remote. Doyle had been linked with a move to Everton but the Toffees are instead expected to sign Nikica Jelavic after he arrived on Merseyside for a medical.

Keogh, 25, played a key role in Wolves gaining promotion to the Premier League three years ago. But he has since found it difficult to command a regular first-team spot and has had loan spells at Cardiff, Bristol City and Leeds. He made 129 appearances for Wolves, scoring 23 goals.

Wolves manager Mick McCarthy had insisted yesterday that Doyle would remain with the club, despite talk of a €7.5 million transfer to Everton, and the arrival of Jelavic on Merseyside from Rangers would seem to scotch any chance of the Wexford man moving to Goodison Park.

The 26-year-old Croatia international has been valued at around €9.5 million with Rangers already rejecting an offer from West Ham. QPR have also been linked with the forward, who missed Rangers’ 4-0 win over Hibernian on Saturday with a virus.

Reports tonight are that West Brom have agreed a transfer fee with Blackburn Rovers over the transfer of Republic of Ireland midfielder Keith Andrews after he lodged a transfer request at Ewood Park. The Dubliner is expected to travel to the club to agree personal terms.

Former Cork City striker Roy O’Donovan has linked up with Pat Fenlon’s Hibernian on loan from Coventry City until the end of the season.

Jelavic heads south to join Toffees:Everton completed the signing of Croatia striker Nikica Jelavic from Rangers on a four-and-a-half-year deal in time for him to be paraded in from of the Goodison Park faithful at half-time of their clash with Manchester City tonight..

The 26-year-old completed a medical and agreed personal terms at Everton’s Finch Farm training base earlier before finalising the details of his contract at Goodison Park.

Cisse back in the Premier League:QPR have completed the signing of Lazio striker Djibril Cisse. The 30-year-old former Liverpool and Sunderland player has returned to England for a fee that is believed to be in the region of €5 million.

QPR have confirmed that Cisse has signed a two-and-a-half year deal at Loftus Road and has been registered in time to make his QPR debut at Aston Villa tomorrow, subject to international clearance being received one hour before kick-off.

Fulham striker Bobby Zamora was also undergoing a medical at the club but has yet to agree personal terms on a deal which is also expected to be in the region of €5 million.

Lafferty swaps Candy for Claret:The highly-regarded Derry City left back Daniel Lafferty has completed his move to Burnley. Lafferty, a Northern Irish under-21 international who previously spent time with Oxford United, Celtic and Ayr United, returned home to play at the Brandywell in the summer of 2010.

Since then he has been one of the club’s most consistently strong performers, attracting interest from a number of clubs in England.

Burnley have paid an undisclosed fee for the 22-year-old, believed to be in the region of €240,000 plus add-ons, with Lafferty agreeing a two-and-a-half year deal with the Championship club.

Bridge to leave troubled waters:Martin O'Neill today clinched his first signing as Sunderland manager when he landed Wayne Bridge on loan until the end of the season. The 31-year-old Manchester City fullback was signed in time to go straight into the squad for tomorrow night's Barclays Premier League clash with Norwich.

O'Neill said: "I'm hoping that with Wayne's undoubted experience and ability he can be a big help to the team until the end of the season. I'm very pleased to have him here and with the number of injuries we've sustained recently I'm sure he'll be a great help to us."

O’Neill moved for the hugely experienced left-back after his defensive resources were further stretched by the loss of Wes Brown to a suspected medial ligament injury at the weekend.

Bridge has played just 78 minutes of senior football this season after slipping down the pecking order at the Etihad Stadium. His only appearance of the campaign to date came in a 2-0 Carling Cup third-round victory over Birmingham on September 21st.

Chelsea complete de Bruyne deal:Chelsea have completed the signing of highly-rated midfielder Kevin de Bruyne from Genk, the Belgian club have announced. The 20-year-old has signed a five-and-a-half-year deal and will remain at the Belgian champions on loan until the end of the season.

De Bruyne, who is predominantly a left-sided player, has been on Chelsea’s radar for some time and has played twice against the London club in this year’s Champions League group stages.

A statement on Genk’s website read: “The transfer of Kevin De Bruyne to Chelsea has been completed. He has signed for five and a half seasons and will continue (playing with) Genk until June.”

Gunners snap up German teen:Arsenal have confirmed the signing of attacking midfielder Thomas Eisfeld from Borussia Dortmund on a long-term contract.

The 19-year-old came through the German outfit’s academy and leaves after seven years with the club.

Eisfeld has impressed for Dortmund’s Under-19 side this season and has now completed a move to the north Londoners.

“I feel very proud to have signed for Arsenal,” Eisfield told the club’s official website. “This is a great club, with many great players, and I’m so happy to be joining Arsenal.

“It’s a real honour to be team-mates with the great players at Arsenal, and also training every day with players like Tomas Rosicky - who I grew up watching play at Dortmund.”

Eisfeld has featured at youth level for the German national team and can play in a variety of positions.

Speaking on the addition, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said: “Thomas is a player we have liked for some time. We’ve watched him closely this season, where he has excelled for Dortmund’s youth team.

“He is young but has proven to us that he can play, that he has the attitude and technical ability to be a valuable addition to our squad. We’re very pleased to welcome him to the club and look forward to his contribution in the coming seasons.”

Morrison signs in time for Hammers:

West Ham have confirmed the signing of teenager Ravel Morrison from Manchester United for an undisclosed fee.

The 18-year-old, considered to be one of the Red Devils’ finest Academy products in recent years, has penned a three-and-a-half-year deal with the Hammers.

Morrison’s contract was due to expire in the summer and the teenager had been offered an extension by the Old Trafford outfit.

However, United were also willing to sell the player now rather than risk losing him to a fee that would be decided by a tribunal in the summer.

The youngster has been mired in controversy throughout his fledgling career and there are some on the Red Devils staff who believe his huge potential will never be fulfilled.
