Chelsea coach Avram Grant is sweating on the fitness of Didier Drogba and the availability of Frank Lampard for the vital Premier League clash with Everton at Goodison Park tomorrow.
Striker Drogba is struggling with a knee problem while Lampard missed the draw with Wigan on Monday night to be with his mother Pat who is in hospital suffering from pneumonia.
Petr Cech, who returned to action against Wigan wearing a chin strap to protect 50 stitches in a facial wound, will retain his place in goal.
Grant's fellow Israeli Tal Ben Haim is fit but is unlikely to feature after he claimed today that the manager will not bring success to the club and said he would never have joined from Bolton had he known Jose Mourinho would be replaced within three months of his arrival.
Ben Haim has played just six matches since the turn of the year - just two of those in the league - and has not featured since an FA Cup match against Huddersfield in mid-February.
"Jose Mourinho is the reason I came to Chelsea and if I knew Avram Grant was going to be the coach then I would have signed for another club," Ben Haim told The Sun.
"The fact is while Jose was the coach I played most of the games and people who know me know that I would not have come here to be a reserve.
"I knew that nothing good would come with Grant as Chelsea coach."
