Central defender Carlos Cuellar failed to recover from a back problem and was replaced by Zat Knight.

But striker Gabriel Agbonlahor recovered from a virus and continued his partnership with John Carew.

Everton boss David Moyes unsurprisingly named an unchanged side and kept faith with the players who demolished Wigan 4-0 last weekend.
