Germany coach Joachim Low admitted his side rode their luck in beating Turkey to reach the final of Euro 2008.
Philip Lahm's last-gasp goal gave Germany a fortunte 3-2 success in Basel after Turkey had threatened a major upset.
The game looked set for extra-time after Turkey's Semih Senturk equalised Mirolav Klose's 79th minute goal until Lahm last-minute intervention sent Germany into this Sunday's showpiece.
Turkey took the lead midway through the first half through Ugur Boral only for Bastian Schweinsteiger to draw Germany level soon after.
The defeat was harsh on Turkey who dominated for long periods of the game and Low conceded his side were far from their best.
"It is an immense happiness that I am feeling," said Low. "That was a battle in which we have expended a lot of energy.
"We weren't very good in the first-half and in the second we weren't that good either, but we gritted our teeth and we wanted the victory.
"The Turks played really well, they chased after the ball a lot and maybe they ran after it very well and we had heavy legs and the heat didn't do us any favours."
