Tonight's eircom League First Division game between Limerick and Kildare County is off as the Hogan Park pitch is waterlogged.

The surface was inspected this morning and later deemed unplayable.

The game has been rescheduled for Monday, March 27th with a 7.30pm kick off.

The 2006 season begins tonight and all other games, in both Premier and First Divisions, proceed as scheduled.

Finn Harps, who start their campaign at home to Athlone Town tomorrow, received a boost today when striker Chris Breen signed a new two-year contract.

Breen, who turned 21 on Tuesday, joined the Donegal outfit in 2002 from Ballybofey United.
