Longford Town have been granted a Premier Division League-Licence following the convening of the FAI Club Licensing Appeals Body.

The licence has been granted subject to sanctions and the payment of a €5,000 fine.  An additional fine of the same amount has been suspended until the end of the 2006 and depends on the club being fully compliant with the sanctions imposed.

The exact details of the sanctions have not yet been made public.

The club had been denied the licence after apparently failing to produce the necessary financial documentation to the appropriate committee by the deadline set.
