Bayern Munich could be set to make a move for Aiden McGeady following a fact-finding mission on the Republic of Ireland international. The German giants had been linked with the 22 -year-old during the last transfer window and are expected to revive their interest in the winger this summer.
Ireland coach Giovanni Trapattoni, a former manager of Bayern, has revealed he was asked to give his assessment of McGeady by the club. The Italian met Bayern representatives at Chelsea’s 1-0 win over Manchester City last week, where the discussion took place.
Trapattoni told the Scottish Daily Mail: "They asked me what I think about McGeady because they have followed him.
“They wanted to know my opinion and I said McGeady is one of our most important players.”
