Aiden McGeady was missing for Celtic's league clash with Dundee United at Parkhead. The Republic of Ireland midfielder returned this week after being suspended from first-team training and fined two weeks' wages following a dressing-room bust-up with manager Gordon Strachan after the 1-1 draw with Hearts last month.
However, McGeady failed to even make the bench as Strachan made two changes from the side which beat Rangers 1-0 in the Old Firm derby at Ibrox last week.
Shunsuke Nakamura replaced his fellow Japanese midfielder Koki Mizuno while right-back Mark Wilson came in for Andreas Hinkel, who failed to recover from a rib injury.
Dundee United manager Craig Levein made one change from the side which beat Falkirk last week, midfielder Danny Swanson coming in for striker Warren Feeney who started on the bench.
