AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi claims there is a "good chance" his club can sign Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor in the summer. The Togo international was courted by the Italian giants 12 months ago, but a deal failed to materialise and he penned a new contract at the Emirates Stadium.

Rumours of a move away from Arsenal have resurfaced in recent weeks, with Chelsea having been linked with an end-of-season bid.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger admitted last week he would have no problem selling to a Premier League rival, but insisted Adebayor is part of his plans.

The former Monaco forward also revealed earlier this month that he will be staying with the club "100 per cent" next season, but Milan appear set to make a renewed attempt to sign the 25-year-old.

Berlusconi has confirmed the Rossoneri's interest in agreeing a deal and is positive about the prospects of persuading Adebayor to move to the San Siro.

"There is a good chance that we can get Adebayor," Berlusconi told the Italian media on Sunday night.

That "chance" may depend on the future of Ronaldinho, who has yet to convince since his move to the San Siro. He has struggled to establish himself in Carlo Ancelotti's plans, making just 16 first-team starts.

On the Brazilian, Berlusconi added: "We will see at the end of the season. I still think he's a good investment."

For his part, the former Barcelona player is determined to stay and has rejected reports linking him with a move to Manchester City.

City tried to sign Ronaldinho before his move to Milan and it is believed they remain interested in the former world player of the year.

However Ronaldinho, who admits he is unhappy with his lack of action, has moved to dispel the speculation by pledging to stay at Milan.

"Moving to Manchester City is not part of my intentions," Ronaldinho told La Reppublica. "I am good at Milan even if the truth is that I wish I had played more.

"I feel good here, with the team, the directors and with the fans. I don't have it in mind to leave this jersey.

"It's true that I hoped to become Italian champion with Milan and I am sorry that we have not achieved this objective.

"But I promise that next year we will win the Scudetto and the Champions League."
