Celtic have won the race to sign Wolves striker Kenny Miller on a pre-contract agreement.
The Scotland international will join the Bank of Scotland Premier League leaders in the summer on a three-year contract, with Celtic having the option of a further year.
The former Rangers and Hibernian star said: "It is a tremendous honour to have signed for a club of Celtic's stature."
The 26-year-old held talks with the Parkhead club yesterday and jumped at the chance to cross the Glasgow divide.
Rangers had been also interested in bringing the player back to Ibrox but their interest has apparently recently cooled. Miller will become one of the few post-war players to have played for both sides of the Old Firm.
He added: "I was fortunate enough to have a number of options, however, when Celtic made their interest known, this was where I wanted to play. Having spoken to Gordon Strachan and the club I am delighted to have committed my future to Celtic."
Miller continued: "I am looking forward immensely to joining my new team-mates in the summer and hope to be able to play my part in bringing further success to Celtic.
"Clearly, my focus for the rest of this season is Wolves and I will be doing all I can to assist the club in its efforts to secure promotion from the Championship."
Alfie Conn played for Rangers then Celtic, via Tottenham, in the 1970s. Fellow forward Mo Johnston, more controversially, joined Rangers in 1989 from Nantes after publicly saying that he was looking forward to a second spell with Celtic.
