Soccer: David Moyes remains hopeful he will be able to complete some deals in the January transfer window. The Everton boss is keen to bolster his options, particularly in attack, and is believed to be looking at loan moves.

Manchester United's Federico Macheda is the latest player Moyes has been linked with, but he insists he is not sure who he will be able to sign.

"You could ask me about lots of people and I would say 'well maybe'," he said. "But in truth I don't know at the moment. We will try and look around and see what we can get. We've got to look to see who's available on loan.

"There might be a lot of deals done, but they might not be done in the first week of January."

Macheda, however, looks to be out of contention after his agent revealed today he is on the verge of joining Italian clun Sampdoria on loan.
