Reports published on Samir Nasri's website that claimed the France forward has completed a deal to join Arsenal are "premature", according to the Marseille player's agent.

"We inform you that Samir will no longer be an Olympique Marseille player next season and that he has signed a four-year contract with London club Arsenal," said a statement published on his website, www.samirnasri.fr.

Nasri, 20, has won 12 international caps and was a member of the French team which bowed out of Euro 2008 after finishing bottom of their group with one point and one goal in three matches.

He made two appearances during the tournament, both as a substitute.

Meanwhile, AC Milan vice president Adriano Galliani has reiterated his stance that Adebayor is the Rossoneri's only transfer target this summer, but warned that a deal for the 24-year-old will be difficult.

In an open and honest assessment of the summer transfer market, Galliani told the club's official website - www.acmilan.it - that Arsenal were unwilling to part with their forward, but that Milan were not prepared to consider alternatives.

Chelsea star Didier Drogba, he claims, is not for sale, while Barcelona duo Ronaldinho and Samuel Eto'o are too expensive and are demanding too much on wages.  Lyon's Karim Benzema has also been linked but has said he will be staying with the French champions for at least another year.

Galliani insists that if Adebayor cannot be lured to the San Siro then the Rossoneri squad will still be good enough to compete for the Scudetto.

"At the moment there is only one deal in motion, and that's for Adebayor," he said."Milan remain true to their word, either Adebayor comes or we keep things as they are, with (Alberto) Paloschi.

"I still think that our squad as it is today is absolutely competitive enough to win the Scudetto.

"Everyone says it's not and I don't understand why when we have got Marco Borriello who has scored 19 goals in the Italian championship (at Genoa).

"We're happy with the forwards we have. We've got Paloschi who is fourth choice after (Alexandre) Pato, (Filippo) Inzaghi and Borriello.

"It's not like we're lacking forwards."
