Bray Wanderers 3, UCD 5
Cillian Morrison scored a hat-trick for UCD in a rollercoaster game at the Carlisle Grounds as Bray finished with 10 men. UCD stunned Bray to take the lead on three minutes when Morrison worked a one-two with Ayman Ben Mohamad on the left to confidently side-foot home from 12 yards.
Bray stormed back, forcing College keeper Conor O’Donnell into good stops from Jake Kelly and Robert Maloney in quick succession before deservedly equalising on 16 minutes. Shane Byrne put David Cassidy away on the left and his low cross was drilled home by Shane O’Connor.
Resurgent Bray were then ahead within a further six minutes. Jake Kelly beat his marker to the end line on the left to cross and Cassidy converted.
UCD’s Robbie Creevy put Morrison in for his second on 61 minutes and they went in front 10 minutes later through Mark Langtry. Bray keeper Shane Redmond was then shown a straight red card on 81 minutes, but his side levelled six minutes later through Cassidy. However, UCD regained the lead on 90 minutes when Morrison stabbed home his third. Skipper Robbie Benson then set up Dean Clarke for a fifth in the fifth minute of added time.
