The FAI is awaiting the referee’s report before taking any action following fan trouble during Cork City’s away win over Bray Wanderers on Friday night.

Flares were thrown onto the pitch from both sets of fans at the Carlisle Grounds, delaying the match on more than one occasion, while multiple pitch invasions were also seen.

At one stage before half-time, there appeared to be an altercation between the home and away supporters. A fire cracker was also set off above the pitch late in the game.

A second half flurry of four goals in six minutes set Cork on their way to a dominant 6-0 win during the opening round of First Division action.
