Finn Harps are eyeing a return to the Premier Division for the first time in seven years when face Limerick at the Markets Field this evening but they face a tough first-leg tie with a growing injury list.

Speaking after Harps’ 2-1 win over UCD on Friday, manager Ollie Horgan said: “Damien McNulty was admitted to hospital after the game and Kevin McHugh won’t recover in time. To add to that Raymond Foy is struggling with a knee problem while Nathan Boyle has suffered a recurrence of a hamstring niggle. Josh Mailey will be touch-and-go to make it as he looks to recover from a groin strain.”

Harps come into the game in good form having gone unbeaten since the first week of September but they face a Limerick side brimming with confidence after taking one step closer to a miraculous escape by beating Sligo Rovers 3-2 on Friday.

Martin Russell’s team go into the game with a fully fit squad and no suspensions.
