Limerick FC have retired their number four shirt in honour of the club’s former captain Joe O’Mahony who died earlier this week after a short illness.

O’Mahony, who will be buried today, led the club to both the league title and the FAI Cup over the course of a 20 year career during which he made more than 400 appearances.
