Pat Fenlon has left his post as Shamrock Rovers manager with immediate effect, the League of Ireland club has announced.
The news comes three days after Rovers disappointing 2-0 loss to Finnish side Rovaniemen Palloseura (RoPS) in the first leg of their Europa League qualifier at Tallaght Stadium.
The Tallaght side are also struggling on the domestic side as they sit fourth in the league table, 14 points behind leaders Dundalk.
Stephen Bradley is expected to take charge until the end of the season, starting with the second leg against RoPS in Finland on Thursday.
The club released the following statement on Sunday afternoon.
“Shamrock Rovers Football Club wishes to announce that it have parted company with First team manager Pat Fenlon with immediate effect.
“The Board of Directors would like to place on record their thanks for the dedication and commitment Pat has shown over the course of three seasons with the Club.
“Everyone at the club wishes Pat all the best in the future.
“There will be no further comment from the club on this matter.
“A further statement will follow from the club in due course.”
