Man City (3) v Chelsea (1)

Robinho is certain to feature at some point in the game but is not guaranteed a start after only training with City for the first time today — he has been on international duty since his #32.5million move from Real Madrid. Defender Pablo Zabaleta may also make his debut and Micah Richards could be available after a shoulder injury but Martin Petrov (knee) is definitely out and Michael Johnson (groin) is doubtful.

John Mikel Obi (leg) is fit and Didier Drogba returns to Chelsea's squad after a knee injury. Midfielders Michael Essien (knee) and Michael Ballack (foot)  are sidelined and the club will seek medical advice on the availability of Joe Cole, who suffered a cut to the head while playing for England in midweek.

Newcastle (11) v Hull (12)

Habib Beye (Achilles) is a doubt for Newcastle, while medics are still trying to assess the extent of shoulder damage suffered by Argentina international Jonas Gutierrez in midweek. Obafemi Martins (groin), Mark Viduka (Achilles), Damien Duff (knee) and Jose Enrique (hamstring) are out, while Joey Barton is serving a six-match ban. However, Geremi (knee) and Claudio Cacapa (hamstring) are back in contention.

Hull hope to welcome back George Boateng and Anthony Gardner after thigh problems. Striker Marlon King returns after being precluded from the Wigan game under the terms of his loan and defender Sam Ricketts is fit after a bout of shingles. New defenders Kamil Zayatte and Paul McShane, both signed on season-long loans, are in contention but Daniel Cousin — recently captured from Rangers — is suspended.

On-loan defender Nadir Belhadj and striker Kanu are set to make their first appearances in Pompey's squad but Niko Kranjcar (ankle), Jerome Thomas (back) and Glen Little (thigh) are out. England's David James, Jermain Defoe and Glen Johnson have all returned fit from international duty as has Nigeria's John Utaka.

Boro are without striker Tuncay (knee) and midfielder Mohamed Shawky (hamstring). Jeremie Aliadiere trained for the first time yesterday after injuring a foot in August but defender David Wheater is a doubt with tonsilitis and although Julio Arca (ankle) is back in training, the game may come too soon for him.

New signings Walter Lopez, David Di Michele and Herita Ilunga are included in West Ham's squad, while midfielder Matthew Etherington has overcome illness and could feature. Defender James Tomkins is also back in contention after recovering from his leg injury.

Wigan (13) v Sunderland (18)

Wigan boss Steve Bruce must assess his international contingent before naming his side. Jason Koumas (ankle) was ruled out of Wales' trip to Russia while Maynor Figueroa, Wilson Palacios, Antonio Valencia and Amr Zaki return to the club today. However, Emile Heskey is fit and Kevin Kilbane came through unscathed for the Republic of Ireland, wearing a mask to protect a fractured cheekbone.

New signings Anton Ferdinand and George McCartney could be handed Sunderland debuts after moving from West Ham. Teemu Tainio could make the squad after shaking off a thigh injury, but skipper Dean Whitehead remains a doubt with a sore hip and Carlos Edwards is unlikely to figure after playing twice for Trinidad and Tobago during the international break. Striker Michael Chopra is still suspended.

Stoke (15) v Everton (17)

Steve Simonsen could make his first Premier League start of the season for Stoke against his former club, after Thomas Sorensen watched Denmark's victory over Portugal in midweek from the sidelines with a back problem. The Potters will be without the banned Amdy Faye so Glenn Whelan could come into the side.

Marouane Fellaini is set to start for Everton but fellow new recruit Lars Jacobsen is out for three months with a dislocated shoulder suffered on international duty with Denmark in midweek. Segundo Castillo and Jack Rodwell are doubts and Steven Pienaar (ankle), Andy van der Meyde (hamstring), Tony
Hibbert (knee), Tim Cahill (foot) and Joseph Yobo (ankle) are out, while Louis Saha (calf) is still struggling.
