Scottish round-up:  Marvin Andrews was the unlikely hero as Rangers fought back from behind to claim a 3-1 victory at Kilmarnock to keep alive their hopes of second place in the Bank of Scotland Premier League.

Colin Nish gave Killie a half-time lead but the introduction of Andrews at the break changed the game and he netted twice, with Kris Boyd also finding the back of the net.

The win allowed Rangers to move to within a point of second-placed Hearts - ahead of their game against champions Celtic on Sunday.

Elsewhere Aberdeen moved into fifth place with a comfortable 4-0 win over Hibernian at Pittodrie.

Stevie Crawford opened the scoring by turning in Russell Anderson's flick from Barry Nicholson's corner, before Steve Lovell doubled the Dons advantage after Derek Riordan had struck the crossbar.

Lovell then scored his second eight minutes after the interval and Richard Foster completed the rout, although Hibs forward Paul Dalglish also struck the woodwork with a header.

At the other end of the table former Livingston player Barry Wilson finally consigned his former club to relegation with the solitary winning goal for Inverness at Almondvale.

Wilson's fine 56th-minute free-kick separated the sides in a game lacking chances and entertainment.

It was Caley's third league win in a row, the first time in the club's history.

Dunfermline confirmed their SPL status for next season with a 3-2 win over Motherwell in an entertaining encounter at Fir Park.

An impressive Jim Paterson strike after six minutes gave the home side the lead but a wonderful volley from Iain Campbell and a Mark Burchill penalty gave the Fifers the interval advantage.

A Gary Mason goal shortly after the break appeared to put the visitors into an unassailable position.

However, a Stephen Craigan strike set the game up for an exciting finale but the visitors held on.

And Falkirk also sealed their survival in style with a 2-0 win over Dundee United at Tannadice.

First-half goals from Alan Gow and Daniel McBreen were enough to ensure the Bairns' SPL status next season.

But Falkirk were reduced to 10 men late on when midfielder Patrick Cregg was dismissed.
