Aaron's Doran's sixth-minute opener had Inverness in front at the interval but Stephen Elliott's 54th-minute equaliser ensured Hearts made it eight games unbeaten at the expense of Caley Thistle.
Ross Tokely was given his marching orders for a second yellow card 12 minutes from time, but the home side held.
