Soccer – SPL Review:Steven Davis grabbed the only goal of the game as Rangers scraped past Inverness 1-0 at Ibrox to edge closer to Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premier League.

The win allowed the Scottish champions to move to within two points of their rivals at the summit, with two games in hand.

The other highlight of the night was the return of Nikica Jelavic after almost four months out through injury - just as fellow striker Kenny Miller edged closer to sealing his departure.

Stephen Elliott's second-half double gave Hearts a well-deserved 2-1 win over Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.

Killie took the lead in the 19th minute when Portuguese striker Rui Miguel took a pass from Alexei Eremenko at the edge of the box before driving low past Jambos keeper Marian Kello.

The Gorgie side came back strongly after the break and levelled in the 72nd minute when Elliott, on for Arvydas Novikovas at the interval, volleyed in from 12 yards before driving in the winner with four minutes remaining.
