Rangers manager Paul Le Guen appealed to fans to be patient after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Dunfermline in the Scottish Premier League today.
The Frenchman said there was a "lack of confidence on the pitch" but was optimistic Rangers could turn around their fortunes.
Rangers are in sixth place with five points from three games, two points behind Hearts, top on goal difference, and Falkirk who drew 0-0 in their meeting on Saturday. Champions Celtic are third after Saturday's 2-0 win over St Mirren.
"I am optimistic," Le Guen told BBC Radio Scotland. "We need time and I repeat that we need points to be more confident perhaps.
"We lack confidence on the pitch... We must win such a game. I am disappointed we have to do better. We missed chances again and I am aware we must improve.
"I would say to the fans to be patient, but I know we must get points and the best (way) is to stay all together to get them."
Belgian Thomas Buffel put Rangers ahead in the 63rd minute when he raced in to slide a shot across keeper Rod McKenzie, but Dunfermline equalised when substitute Owen Morrison pounced on a blunder by French keeper Lionel Letizi.
Morrison forced the ball over the line in the 68th after Letizi failed to deal with a cross to earn Dunfermline's first point of the season.
