Real Madrid will hold an election for a new president on July 2nd, the Primera Liga club has confirmed.
President Fernando Martin was ousted by the board on April 26th only two months after replacing Florentino Perez, who quit at the end of February.
Real are second in the league with one game left to play, a point ahead of third-placed Valencia, and can secure automatic qualification to the Champions League next season if they beat Uefa Cup winners Sevilla away on Tuesday.
Real are coming to the end of their third season without a major trophy, their worst run in over 50 years.
