Soccer:West Brom right back Steven Reid has been ruled out for a month following a knee operation yesterday
The 30-year-old Republic of Ireland international required surgery “to repair wear and tear” and the operation is not related to the ankle injury sustained by the player against Newcastle on Wednesday.
Reid was forced off in the seventh minute after twisting his left ankle and the Baggies are hopeful that the injury will heal during his rehabilitation from the knee operation.
West Brom boss Roy Hodgson will also assess the fitness of James Morrison and Youssouf Mulumbu ahead of the St Stephen’s Day clash with Manchester City.
