West Ham's Nigel Reo-Coker will not face disciplinary action from the English FA for his bruising tackle on Chelsea's Michael Essien.
Essien was stretchered off with an ankle injury following the late tackle by the England under-21 at Upton Park, where Chelsea won 3-1 yesterday.
However, referee Howard Webb penalised the foul with a free-kick at the time, choosing not to book Reo-Coker or send him off.
FIFA rules dictate that the FA are not allowed to review decisions using video evidence if the incident has been seen by the match officials.
An FA spokesman confirmed: "There will not be any disciplinary action because the referee dealt with the matter at the time by awarding a free-kick to Chelsea."
The FA are, however, awaiting the match reports from the officials at Liverpool's controversial clash against Bolton at the Reebok Stadium.
Bolton manager Sam Allardyce said referee Mark Clattenburg should have dismissed Steven Gerrard for an alleged stamp on Kevin Nolan, as well as Momo Sissoko for a similar incident with El Hadji Diouf.
The FA must determine whether Clattenburg saw either or both of the incidents at the time, or whether they should be looked at again with the benefit of video evidence.
