Soccer:The Republic of Ireland's upcoming home matches against Northern Ireland, Scotland, Slovakia and Armenia will be sold on an individual match basis, the FAI confirmed today.

Last month the FAI already reduced ticket prices by “up to 25 per cent for friendly matches and 14 per cent for competitive matches” after struggling to fill the 52,000 capacity at the Aviva Stadium. It means tickets for friendly internationals will remain at €30 and €45, and increase to €45 and €60 for Euro 2012 qualifiers.

Only 20,200 came through the gates for last night’s friendly against Uruguay and just 33,200 for the Euro 2012 qualifier against Macedonia last Saturday. Tickets for the two matches were bundled together and could not be bought separately.

Further discount will be offered to clubs for the Northern Ireland and Scotland matches - 50 tickets for €700, breaking down as 40 children’s tickets for €10 each and 10 adult’s tickets for €30 each. A total of 5,000 seats will be made available at these prices.
