Cork City manager Damien Richardson has bee hit with a €3000 fine and four-match touchline ban for misconduct after an FAI Carlsberg Cup game.
After the match, which took place last April, Richardson directed comments towards the referee after the final whistle in a game City lost to Longford Town. The FAI also claim Richardson made disparaging remarks about the Association in general.

This suspension will come into effect from Monday 10th July."
"The Football Association of Ireland wishes to express their disappointment at the comments made by Mr Richardson, however they have accepted Mr Richardson's unreserved apology to both the Association and the eircom League referee."
