Soccer:Florentino Perez says Real Madrid are still interested in signing Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United despite the world-record capture of Kaka from AC Milan.
The Spanish giants have held a long-term interest in the Portugal international, and that still stands despite the fact they splashed out €68million on Kaka last night.
Bernabeu president Perez has a track record of attracting world-class talent to the club after bringing the likes of Luis Figo, Zinedine Zidane and David Beckham to the club during his first stint at the helm.
While Perez knows Real will not be able to sign all of their targets, he has acknowledged the club will need to hold transfer talks with United before being able to speak with Ronaldo.
"We're always thinking about great players, Cristiano Ronaldo and Ibrahimovic are among other great players around the world," said Perez.
"We all know that these are players that we would like, but they all can't come.
"Ronaldo is a great player who we'd like to bring to the club, but first we have to speak to Manchester United because the important thing is for us to maintain a good rapport with everyone."
