St Patrick's Athletic reclaimed top spot of the League of Ireland Premier Division with a barnstorming 4-0 win at Sligo Rovers this evening.
St Pat's went in front in the 17th minute, Gary O'Neill slotting home a penalty after Dave Mackay was brought down, before two own-goals either side of half-time gifted the visitors the points.
Sligo captain Jamie McKenzie was first to put through his own net, his miscued header just before the interval giving goalkeeper Richard Brush no chance, and the second-half was just five minutes old when Sean Kelly repeated the trick.
David Mulcahy got St Pat's first goal from play 30 minutes from time, his drilled finish under Brush sealing the win.
