RTÉ Television has secured the rights to broadcast UK Premiership Football highlights up to and including the 2009/2010 season.

It will broadcast highlights from the full range of Premiership matches beginning with the 2007/2008 season.

Glen Killane, head of Sport, RTÉ Television said: "We're delighted with the outcome of the negotiations as it means that the public will enjoy even more Premier League football free-to-air on RTÉ Television from the 2007/08 season.

"Our unrivalled team of analysts and commentators will deliver in excess of 40 programmes per season covering the widest possible range of matches."
