Sevilla have turned down two bids for highly-rated wing-back Daniel Alves as they hold out for an offer that matches their valuation.

José María del Nido says he will not be bullied into selling one of his team's prize assets, even though there is an agreement in place that he could be allowed to leave.

Chelsea are believed to be behind the enquiries, having been strongly linked to the Brazilian this summer, but Del Nido did not name the club or clubs involved.

"We have refused an offer of €35 million and another one that was of almost €32m, which did not include any swap deals," he said.

"The first call was on Tuesday and the second was received on Wednesday.

"If we receive an offer that is above his current value in the market, then he could leave us and if not, we will remain calm."

Alves has already said he believes that it is time for him to move on and has confirmed that he would like to join Chelsea.

For much of last season he was linked with Liverpool but the Merseysiders' interest appears to have cooled.
