Drogheda United's Brian Shelley is tipped to win the PFAI Player of the Year award after being short listed ahead of Sunday's award ceremony.
His team-mate Shane Robinson, St Patrick's Keith Fahey, Joe Gamble of Cork, Longford's Dave Mooney and Brian Murphy of Bohemians complete the list.
Shelley's consistency has been key to the club's title success and he has also been named eircom/Soccer Writers Association of Ireland Player of the Month for October.
Shane Guthrie of Cobh Ramblers is short listed alongside Finn Harps duo Conor Gethins and Tony Shields for First Division Player of the Year.
Conor Powell of Bohemians, St Patrick's Mark Quigley and Conor Sammon of UCD are the Young Player of the Year nominees.
Shelley, Simon Webb and Graham Gartland are the only Drogheda players to make the PFAI's Premier Division Team of the Year.
Longford striker Mooney finished the campaign as top scorer and is duly rewarded with his place in the team, as is his closest challenger Quigley.
Sligo's Adam Hughes and Derek O'Brien of Galway are also included following eye-catching performances throughout the year.
The team was chosen by the league's players from a shortlist drawn up by managers and journalists.
