Transfer News:Tottenham have confirmed the signings of defenders Kyle Naughton and Kyle Walker from Sheffield United. No fee was disclosed for either of the England youth internationals.
Naughton, 20, attracted the interest of several Barclays Premier League clubs after becoming a stand-out player for the Blades last season.
He began the season as the regular right-back, but can also play in midfield and eventually moved to the left-hand side of defence to accommodate his fellow United academy product Walker.
Naughton, a boyhood Blades fan, made his debut for the club in August, and went on to make 50 appearances for the club, earning recognition with a place in the PFA Championship Team of the Year.
Walker is the less experienced of the pair. The 19-year-old broke into the team at the back end of the season, with the England Under-19 defender making seven appearances, including all three of United's games in the Coca-Cola Championship play-offs.
Naughton had looked to be on the way to Everton when the Merseysiders agreed a fee with United last week, but Tottenham have succeeded with a late move by targeting both players.
Fulham add to the ranks
Fulham have confirmed the signing of Bjorn Helge Riise from Norwegian side Lillestrom on a three-year contract.
The Cottagers have announced the completion of the deal, with Riise, brother of Roma defender John Arne, arriving for an undisclosed fee.
The 26-year-old told the club's official website: "It is a dream come true for me to have signed for Fulham and I am looking forward to joining the team for pre season training now the agreement is complete.
"Obviously I know Brede (Hangeland) and Erik (Nevland) very well from the national team and they have only good things to say about the club.
"Fulham had a fantastic season last year under Roy Hodgson who is a manager I admire very much, his record in Scandinavia speaks for itself and I am very excited about working with him over the coming months and to being part of Fulham Football Club at such an exciting time."
Nouble makes London switch
West Ham have confirmed the signing of Frank Nouble from Premier League rivals Chelsea.
West Ham have been lining up a move for the teenager for the last few weeks after he rejected the offer of a professional contract at Chelsea.
Nouble has signed a five-year deal at Upton Park and he is looking forward to joining West Ham.
"It is a great day for me and my family," Nouble told the club's official website. "I am just excited now to get started at this club.
"I am really looking forward to showing what I can do. West Ham are renowned for bringing through young players and hopefully I can be in the next batch.
"This came out of the blue. The news came out that I rejected at Chelsea and obviously I thank them for what they have done for me but I am just happy that a club like West Ham came in for me.
"They showed their interest and for me it was a case of saying 'Yes' straight away. I am just happy to be here."
West Ham chief executive Scott Duxbury was delighted to land the highly-rated attacker and revealed the club are looking to add more striking reinforcements to Gianfranco Zola's side.
"I am very pleased to be able to welcome Frank to West Ham where he will have the opportunity to compete for a place in Gianfranco's first-team squad," noted Duxbury. "He has a very bright future and we will give him every chance to succeed. This is an excellent signing for the club.
"I can also assure fans we are concentrating on adding more quality to our attack to complement those we already have.
"This is an extremely busy time of the year and Gianluca Nani and I are working hard to bring in the players that Gianfranco feels will improve his squad for the new season."
Chamakh in advanced Sunderland talks
Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh has revealed that he could join Sunderland after stating contact with the Premier League club is at an advanced stage.
The 25-year-old has been reported to be close to a move to England throughout the summer, with Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger confessing he has been tracking the Morocco star.
Fulham and Tottenham have also been credited with an interest in Chamakh but Sunderland, whose link was ridiculed by Bordeaux president Jean-Louis Triaud earlier in July, appear to be in pole position.
The forward could stay at Bordeaux but he has confessed that Sunderland, who are looking for a target man after ending a pursuit of Peter Crouch, have made significant efforts for his signature.
Chamakh said in L'Equipe: "Bordeaux have made me a more attractive proposition to stay.
"So contrary to what some people say, I don't want to leave for money but to experience a new challenge.
"In France, it is impossible that I could go anywhere else than Bordeaux, because that club will remain in my heart.
"However, I have made the wish to have a new adventure in England, and I would like that idea to happen.
"The contact which has reached advanced stages is with Sunderland.
"Maybe for some people it is not a great club, but it is fine to me. I know it can be a step forward and it is what I want."
