Darren Murphy's goal near the end of the first half opened the scoring for Cork after a convincing first half performance. However, a different Drogheda team came out after the break and the home team's endeavor was rewarded when John Tambouras finished from a corner.
Glentoran 4 Linfield 1:Glentoran threw open group 2 after an emphatic 4-1 victory over rivals Linfield at Windsor Park tonight.
Glentoran midfielder Gardner scored from the spot after Fordyce was adjudged to have been fouled in the area. Robert Garrett then equalised for Linfield before Boyce fired the visitors ahead at the break.
A second half brace from Halliday was enough to give Glentoran an outside chance of qualifying from the group stages.
Dungannon Swifts 2 Cliftonville 4:With nothing at stake but pride Dungannon and Cliftonville played out a six-goal thriller in Tyrone tonight.
The sides went into the break 2 a piece after Mark Patterson and Rory Hamill both sent Cliftonville into the lead - Timmy Adamson and Aaron Baker equalised for Swifts.
In the second half Cliftonville's dominance was rewarded by Hamill's second of the night before George McMullan capped a fine display with a goal of his own.
