Republic of Ireland v Netherlands: Stephen Staunton has named his starting eleven for tonight's friendly against the Netherlands at Lansdowne Road.
Despite the withdrawal of a number of key players through injury, Staunton has opted for a team which features a number of well-known names.
Damien Duff became the latest player to withdraw from the team yesterday with a groin strain.
Captain Robbie Keane, Shay Given, Ian Harte, Stephen Ireland, Alan Lee and Terry Dixon are also sidelined
Nonetheless, the Ireland manager is still optimistic and has made it clear that this evening's gives some of the younger players a chance to "stake their claim".
Tonight's game is the 19th encounter between the Republic of Ireland and the Netherlands and Staunton will no doubt be hoping that his team will be out to prove a point by putting one over the Dutch.
The starting eleven for tonight is as follows: Paddy Kenny, Stephen Carr, Steve Finnan, John O'Shea, Andy O'Brien, Graham Kavanagh, Aiden McGeady, Steven Reid (Captain), Stephen Elliot, Clinton Morrisson, Kevin Kilbane.
