Soccer:Republic of Ireland international Stephen Elliott is one of two players being let go by Scottish Cup winners Hearts as part of cost-cutting measures at the Edinburgh club.
Elliot and fellow striker Gary Glen will not be offered new deals when their contracts expire in the coming weeks.
Elliott started Saturday’s 5-1 Hampden success over Hibernian and has been a regular since arriving from Preston.
In an article on the club’s official website, the Dubliner said: “I have had a great couple of years here and to go out in that manner was just amazing.
“I’m leaving with a Scottish Cup winner’s medal so I would have to say my time here has been a success.”
