The 30-year-old club captain has had sciatic nerves problems but should be able to play against Alex Ferguson's side.
Simone Perrotta will not play at Old Trafford as the World Cup-winner is suspended. David Pizarro, the Peruvian midfielder who was suspended for the first leg, is likely to deputise.
Max Tonetto is still injured and was not named in the 20-man squad.
