Shamrock Rovers 3 Bray Wanderers 1:Two goals from star striker Gary Twigg helped Shamrock Rovers keep up their chase on great rivals Bohemians as they got to within a point of the Premier Division leaders at Tallaght Stadium tonight.
It marked a fine comeback from the Hoops, who had gone behind after 16 minutes when Dave Webster fired home after the home defence failed to deal with Dane Massey’s corner.
Stephen Rice drew Rovers level 10 minutes after the break before Twigg scored his 20th league goal of the season from Sean O’Connor’s cross after 66 minutes.
Six minutes later the Scotsman made the game safe for Michael O’Neill’s side, who play Bohemians in Tallaght on Friday week.
