National League play-off/Waterford United 1 Dundalk 2:Two goals from Trevor Vaughan was enough to hand victory to Dundalk in the second leg play-off against Waterford.
Vaughan, whose 92nd minute penalty gave Dundalk a dramatic equaliser in the first leg of the play-off at Oriel Park on Wednesday, was again in scoring form in a game that was full of energy.
Waterford United were first to score with Darryl Kavanagh put one past Dundalk's goalkeeper Chris Bennion on 69 minutes.
However, Dundalk were level just minutes later when Vaughan slotted home from the spot after referee Anthony Buttimer judged that Philip Hughes had been fouled in the penalty area.
Vaughnan then put the visitors ahead on the 86th minute to seal the deal for the visitors.
Dundalk won 2-1 on the night and 3-2 on aggregate.
