Waterford United made no mistake at the second attempt as they swept aside Tolka Rovers 4-1 to reach the third round of the FAI Cup.
Held to a 2-2 draw at Tolka's Frank Cooke Park on Friday, Waterford were not about to be caught napping at a soggy RSC and went ahead after just two minutes through Shane Harte.
A Rovers equaliser after 10 minutes paid lip service to the
romance of the cup for the non-league outfit but United hit back
with three further goals before half-time, Robert Brosnan netting
twice with Paul McCarthy adding a fourth.
In tonight's other replay, Limerick 37 currently lead fellow
eircom League newcomers 1-0 at Newcastle Park.
