Arsene Wenger expects his young Gunners to complete an incredible adventure by toppling Barcelona and winning the Champions League.
The Arsenal manager admits he felt "lonely" at times this season because he was the only one who believed in his new-look Arsenal team.
But, after beating Real Madrid and Juventus, the Frenchman insists Arsenal can peak against the Spanish champions in tomorrow's European final in Paris.
Wenger said: "I believe in every team I've had, but sometimes I was lonely this season because I felt that belief wasn't shared by many people.
"I always believed there was something special about this team. They have a combination of humility, hunger, strength, togetherness and talent.
"We have worked hard and improved a lot and now we want to go out and finish the job.
"When you get to the final you want to take the cup home and that's what we want to do.
"This team has come from behind but has peaked at the right moment."
Wenger believes victory over Real, in the first knock-out round of the Champions League, repaired his team's shattered confidence.
He said: "The biggest enemy of every sportsman is confidence. It's goes so quickly.
"There were times when this team lost complete belief.
"They were difficult times but I could always rely on the experienced players not to give and rebuild confidence.
"I have tried to convince these players they are top quality.
"I am happy to have been proven right but tomorrow is another step we want to take.
"I am convinced we are ready for the big challenge."
Barcelona, with players of the stature of Ronaldinho and Samuel Eto'o, stand between Arsenal and their first victory in the competition, either in its current guise or in its European Cup days.
Both side have proud reputations for flair football and the world waits in anticipation of a classic final.
Wenger said: "I love football and I think everybody in Europe wanted this final. It is a pleasure for people who love football.
Wenger is expected to retain Sol Campbell in defence. Philippe Senderos is back from a knee injury but has barely trained.
The Arsenal boss says Senderos is "a bit short" of match fitness but the Swiss defender could take a place among the substitutes.
Wenger also laughed off the fact that one of the linesmen for the final, Ole Hermann Borgan, was pictured in a newspaper in his native Norway wearing a Barcelona shirt.
The Arsenal boss said: "I never go into a game looking at the referees. I always have a positive feeling about them. They always do the job as well as they can and in an honest way.
"The fact that one of the guys is pictured in a Barcelona shirt doesn't change my mind."
