Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admits the loss of leading scorer Robin van Persie for what could prove a crucial month is a "big blow" for the Premier League leaders.
The Holland striker, who has netted five goals in his last four Arsenal appearances, suffered a knee injury during Wednesday's Euro 2008 qualifier against Slovenia.
Van Persie is to have further tests with the Arsenal medical staff but should the prognosis be as bad as feared, the striker would be unlikely to feature again until the end of November.
That would rule him out of the Champions League game with Slavia Prague as well as crunch Premier League clashes at Liverpool and at home to Manchester United.
"The early signs are that he will not be able to perform for us in the next four weeks. It is a big blow," said Wenger. "Robin is a striker, a supportive striker and important on set-pieces as well.
"I hope he will be back soon and we'll do the maximum to get him back."
Wenger will be hoping the rest of his cosmopolitan squad do not show too many ill-effects from their travels of the past fortnight.
Swiss defender Philippe Senderos (back) is already out for around a fortnight but at least captain William Gallas, veteran goalkeeper Jens Lehmann and Tomas Rosicky should all be available to face Bolton tomorrow following recent injury problems.
Croatia striker Eduardo da Silva is the most likely candidate to partner Togo frontman Emmanuel Adebayor in attack in the match at the Emirates Stadium.
Wenger was honoured at yesterday's annual general meeting of Arsenal Holdings plc with a commemorative bronze bust, fitting tribute for the man who has transformed the club's fortunes since his arrival just over a decade ago.
The Gunners boss took the opportunity to talk about the bright future he believes the team has. That was further underlined by the news 19-year-old Brazilian midfielder Denilson had agreed a new long-term deal.
"For me, he is underrated," said Wenger. "He does not get all the praise his performances suggest, but that will come very quickly.
"He has played big games, but he has shown he can cope with the pressure and produce quality performances. I expect him to make a big impact."
