Arsene Wenger has ruled out a move for Barcelona striker Javier Saviola but might be interested in West Brom defender Curtis Davies at the right price.
Arsenal have frequently been linked with Argentina international Saviola but Wenger insists the club have enough forwards and he does not intend to strengthen further in this department.
Davies is reportedly another target for the Gunners this summer and Wenger has expressed his admiration for the centre back, although he has yet to make an offer.
"We are not interested in Saviola at all. We have enough forward players," he told the club's official website, www.arsenal.com.
"We have bought Tomas Rosicky. We also have Thierry Henry, Jose
Antonio
Reyes, Robin Van Persie, Emmanuel Adebayor, Theo Walcott,
Nicklas Bendtner, Jeremie Aliadiere and Arturo Lupoli.
"Where do I put the strikers? I have no interest at all in
another one.
Curtis Davies I like. I have not made an inquiry or a bid but
I like the player."
Asked if he would me making a approach for the £12million-rated Davies, Wenger replied: "Not at that level."
