Arsenal 2 Wigan 1 (Agg: 2-2):  Jason Roberts scrambled home a priceless away goal in the final minute of extra time to book Wigan's place in the Carling Cup final.

Robin van Persie's stunning free-kick on 108 minutes had looked enough to put Arsenal through after Thierry Henry had levelled the tie.

Mike Pollitt saved a first-half penalty from Jose Antonio Reyes, but could do little to keep out Henry's header on 65 minutes, although neither side could find a winner in normal time.

And just when it looked like heading towards a penalty shoot-out, Van Persie stepped up to smash home a 25-yard free-kick.

There was more drama to come, though, as Roberts scrambled in a dramatic winner to leave the home crowd stunned and the away support ecstatic.
