RACING: Solerina, one of the main Irish hopes for the SunAlliance Hurdle, will miss the Cheltenham Festival due to a leg infection.

Limestone Lad's stable companion has been on antibiotics to cure the problem but the infection has come too close to the festival to allow her run.

Mrs Phyllis Bowe, wife of permit holder James Bowe, said last night: "The vet says the antibiotics have taken a lot out of her and she is not going to travel. It is not worth it when she is not 100 per cent. She is still being treated and she is off her feed. It's disappointing but Limestone Lad is fine and that is some consolation."

Meanwhile, Paul Carberry can kick this afternoon's Limerick fixture into life with a double in the maiden hurdle races.

There is a line of form through Heronstown to the Supreme Novices' Hurdle favourite Back In Front, but Hardrada is still preferred.

Paul Nolan gives Kymandjen a third start in the conditons hurdle and it looks a three-from-three scenario for the six-year-old.

Local trainer Michael Hourigan has booked Ruby Walsh for the Clonmel third She'll Be Lucky in the handicap hurdle and the partnership look to hold a reasonable shout.
