A big thank you to Niall Conway, webmaster of www.derrycityfc.com (in Planet Football's humble opinion the smartest National League website in cyberspace) for his e-mail last week. Niall alerted us to the fate of Finn Harps goalkeeper Damien Bradley, who was ruled out for the rest of the season after picking up an injury - while watching telly. Damien tore his Achilles tendon while celebrating Gary Doherty's goal for Spurs against Arsenal in the FA Cup semi-final.

All of which reminded us of our top five favourite injuries of all time: (5) Southampton goalkeeper Michael Stensgaard spent three months in plaster after dropping an ironing board on his foot; (4) Portsmouth's John Durnin broke his arm when he overturned a golf buggy; (3) Hadjuk Split's Milan Rapaic missed the start of a season after poking himself in the eye with a boarding pass at an airport; (2) Southampton's Claus Lundekvam damaged his back picking up a frying pan; and (1) Dave Beasant missed the start of a season, when he was at Chelsea, after dropping a jar of salad cream on his foot. Damien Bradley? You're in fine company - get well soon.
