Sweden's Annika Sorenstam is in line for her third title in five tournaments after shooting a six-under-par 65 to grab a four-shot lead after three rounds of the Jamie Farr Classic in Ohio.

Sorenstam began the day tied for the lead with rookie Heather Bowie at the $1 million event before rolling in five birdies during her bogey-free round and reaching 10-under 132 to take command over Bowie and five others.

The three-time LPGA Tour Player-of-the-Year opened and closed her third round with birdies.

She is 18 holes away from her tour-leading fifth title of the season - one more than reigning Player-of-the-Year Karrie Webb of Australia - and her third in the last five events she has entered.

Sorenstam began her run six weeks ago with a win in Ohio. Webb, who took the week off, leads the money list with $953,463, but the $150,000 first prize would get Sorenstam within $100,000 of the top spot.
